Join the Festivities For Canada Day This Year From Behind The Scenes!
It’s tons of fun… and you’ll become a part of a Glen Tradition that dates back over 100 years.
We are excited for you to become a member of Team Glen Williams and enjoy an opportunity to contribute to this wonderful community in a significant and meaningful way. Each year, the efforts of volunteers on Canada Day in Glen Williams help to ensure the legacy of our local Town Hall, established in 1870, by ensuring the continuing preservation of this historic building and the many ongoing community events and endeavours that the Town Hall Board oversees.
There are lots of Volunteer Opportunities still available that you may enjoy helping out with taking place at a variety of times throughout the day… (and high school students who volunteer are eligible for community hours).
Decorating, Parade Set Up, Traffic/Crowd Control Assistants, Parking, Seniors Strawberry Tea Preparation and Serving, Information Booth Attendants, Communications (to assist with intercom, walkie talkies, phones etc): Children’s Activity Area Assistants; General Activity Assistants; Clean Up Crew.
Please join the Canada Day Committee meeting at the Glen Williams Town Hall on Wednesday, June 6th at 7:15 pm to find out how you can get involved, or contact us via email or Facebook.
Hope to see you at the meeting on Wednesday!
Matt Kindbom
Chair of Canada Day Planning Committee
