Please join the GWCA as we help with the launch of the Glen Williams Mature Neighbourhood Study which has been initiated by the Town of Halton Hills.
The occasional construction of large-scale residential rebuilds, often referred to as “monster homes’ in Glen Williams has raised public concern about maintaining the character and integrity of the Glen’s neighbourhoods. The Glen Williams Mature Neighbourhood Study – starting its first phase – will attempt to define the character of the Glen and then examine what policies or by-laws are needed to protect and maintain this character. It will be very similar to the Mature Neighbourhood Character Study that was undertaken for Georgetown and Acton in 2016/2017.
Part of the first phase of the Study is a walking tour to look at new housing in the mature neighbourhoods of the Glen.
On the walk you are invited to point out to the Study Team your views and concerns (both positive and negative), focusing on what you think best reflects the character of the hamlet.
