The Glen Williams Community Association is proud to have been part of the town’s initiative to make Halton Hills the most Patriotic Town in Canada.
The official word from Ottawa is that – WE ARE! We flew the most flags per capita of any other jurisdiction in the country.
In honour of our trooping the colours, Ottawa is sending the Snowbirds our way to fly in formation over Halton Hills tomorrow afternoon. Let’s give the Snowbirds and Canada an extraordinary show of outstanding patriotism and Halton Hills pride!
SNOWBIRDS SALUTE
August 31 at 1:45pm
Here’s how: On Thursday, August 31 @ 1:15pm, gather at one of the 6 Celebration Points:
- Prospect Park, Acton (Center of the field)
- Downtown Acton (United Church Cenotaph Parking Lot)
- Limehouse (Limehouse Public School Parking Lot)
- Downtown Georgetown (Parking Lot Beside Yongs by Iron Tree)
- Dominion Gardens Park (Flag Pole / Splash Pad)
- Mold-Masters SportsPlex (Flag Pole)
They will start at Prospect Park AND FLY EAST towards Dominion Gardens Park. Flyover time may change WATCH THE Facebook EVENT for updates.
There will be a giant 20’ x 40’ Canadian Flag to greet the Snowbirds!
Be sure to wear red and white, wave your flags and enjoy a moment of pure Canadian pride as the Snowbirds do an historic fly by!
