Each of us loves the Glen and we share a common interest to promote, enhance and protect the look of and feel of our hamlet.
Perhaps your community interest lies with:
- maintaining our “rural” hamlet look impacting the design of new public works infrastructure
- guiding respect for our built heritage
- shaping the impact of 3 proposed subdivisions
- addressing safety and traffic issues
- better connecting of our naturalized trail system
- improving our parks and green space
- supporting our business district
- strengthening our arts community
- adding your voice to the revision of the Glen Williams Secondary Plan 2005 (GWSP), etc.
Many of these ideas and more were explored in our 2 Re-think public forums held April 14 and May 11, 2016 and those conversations will shape future priorities for our association.
Core Purpose
The GWCA’s core purpose remains: to promote, enhance and protect the village atmosphere of Glen Williams and to represent members positions on matters pertaining to the hamlet of Glen Williams.
Future attention will be given to matters such as:
- Development & Infrastructure
- Traffic & Safe Active Transportation
- Natural & Built Heritage
- Business & Arts Community
- Activities Events & Community Groups
- Communications.
