We have some exciting news to share about our hamlet, Glen Williams! Next year, 2025, ‘The Glen’, will record its’ bicentennial, as it was established in 1825.
The Glen200 Residents Working Group was formed in early 2024 in order to develop and implement a plan to acknowledge and celebrate the history and community of one of Ontario’s most treasured hamlets.
The theme will be “honoring history, celebrating community”.
Events and activities will be ongoing throughout 2025, with a special all-day celebration on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

What is the Glen Williams Community Association (GWCA)?
We’re an organization of residents who volunteer our time and effort to help make the community a better place.
We strive to keep our neighbours informed of community activities, represent the community on a variety of committees, and provide a voice at local meetings.
We’re involved in community issues such as:
- Development and infrastructure (traffic, new subdivision developments, liaising with elected officials)
- Natural and built heritage (Credit River, Credit Valley Trail, Glen Williams Secondary Plan, Mature Neighbourhood Study)
- Parks and trails
- Community events
We share news, stories, pictures, and opportunities to participate and learn through the GWCA newsletter.
